Biography
John Thomas Folmar, Sr. age 79, of Tullahoma, passed away Sunday at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville. A native of Williamsport, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Sylvester Lewis Folmar and Louise Ellen Rader. He was a retired postal clerk with over 30 years of service and an usher and very active member of First Baptist Church. He volunteered his time to serve the community by working at the Senior Center and volunteering his time for Meals on Wheels. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Beatrice Folmar, one brother Sylvester Folmar and one sister, Madeline K. Eck.He is survived by his wife, Darlyn Mae Folmar, two sons, John Thomas (Julie) Folmar, Jr. of Williamsport, PA, and Anthony Esposito of Bear, DE., three daughters, Ann (Rick) Sunderland of Williamsport, PA., April (Anthony) Kulik of Tullahoma, and Allison (David) Maggs of Elk River, MN. And one sister, Dorothy Eck of Easton, PA.
Visitation with the family will be Monday from 4:00 PM till 6:00 PM at First Baptist Church. Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church with Pastor Herbert Hester officiating. After the funeral services, Mr. Folmar will be taken to Williamsport, PA, for burial.
