Rodney Keys

March 16, 1949 - May 17, 2010

Rodney “Rod” Keys, age 61 of Chattanooga, TN passed away Monday, May 17, 2010 at Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga. He was a Chattanooga native and a son of the late Ernest Callans and Flossie Bell Autry Keys. He was a United States Army Veteran and a graduate of the Edmondson Business College. Rod and his wife Kathy owned National Title Insurance Agency.


Rod is survived by his wife Kathy Keys (nee Thomas); two sons, Robin and Kevin; one grandson Charles David; two brothers Kenneth and Roger; and nephews Damon, Justin, Chris, Jeremy and Matthew.

Rod was instrumental in the formation of the International Society of Jack Daniels Collectors (ISJDC), a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping those in need. The family requests memorials be made to the ISJDC P.O. Box 8062, Lynchburg, TN 37352 or www.isjdc.org/rodkeys.htm

A memorial graveside service with military honors will be held at 2:30 pm EST, Friday, June 4, 2010 in the Chattanooga National Cemetery. A celebration of his life will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at the VFW on Amnicola Highwayin Chattanooga.
