Biography

Jerry Joseph Wells, Age 70, passed away Thursday, June 16, at Harton Regional Medical Center in Tullahoma. Mr. Wells served 33 years on the Memphis Police Department and retired as a Captain, he also served in the United States Air Force. He was an active member of the Fraternal Order of Police and the Highland Rim Scottish Society.

He was preceeded in death by his parents, Jerry Preston Wells and Laura Flaherty Wells Ryan, Sister Patricia Eileen Yeatman, son, William Roland Wells Styers, and daughter Sana Teresa Wells Bonee. He is survived by his loving wife, Alma Ruth Wells. Sister, Martha Ann (Steve) Glenn of Saraland, Alabama and two daughters: Angela Diana (Robert) Pyle of Canton, Michigan, Joey Regina (John) Sims of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee and son-in-law Johnny (Debbie) Bonee of Tullahoma. Seven grandchildren: Jared and Zack Bonee; Andrew and Julia Pyle; Austin, Trent and Natalie Sims; Sister-in-law, Donna (Warren) Adams and a host of nieces, nephews, and grand-nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be Saturday from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Tullahoma Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, at 10:00 a.m. at Good Shepherd Church in Decherd, Tennessee with Reverend Jean-Baptiste Kyabuta officiating.
