Biography

Mr. Clifford Sanders, age 90, of Shelbyville, passed away Thursday, June 7, 2012 at Harton Regional Medical Center in Tullahoma. He was born on February 12, 1922 in Murfreesboro, TN and the son of the late Ernest Odell and Mary Leona Davenport Sanders. He was preceded in death by his wife, Georgie Elizabeth Owens Sanders. He is survived by his daughter, Ann Baldwin (Louie) of Tullahoma, his granddaughter, Amy Baldwin Stephens (Jason), great grandson, Wyatt Owen Stephens of Baltimore, MD, two sisters, Charlotte Baskin and Lois Wood (Jack) all of Murfreesboro and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Sanders was a long time deacon and member of First Baptist Church and Edgemont Baptist Church in Shelbyville, TN. He was the owner and operator of Sanders Radiator Shop in Shelbyville until his retirement in 1992. He was a Mason for over 60 years at the Shelbyville Benevolent Lodge #122 and was also a World War II Army Veteran.


Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, from 11:00AM until 1:00PM at the Tullahoma Funeral Home. Services will be conducted Wednesday at 1:00PM in the Tullahoma Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. In Lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Tullahoma Day Care Center, P.O. Box 478, Tullahoma, TN.
