Charles Aldridge Obituary

Charles Michael Aldridge, age 66, of Shelbyville, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Monday, September 25, 2023, at his residence.

Charles was born on March 30, 1957, in Boston, Massachusetts, to Charles and Hazel Aldridge. He was a member of The Glade Baptist Church in Mt. Juliet. Before retiring he worked as a computer technician for Health Stream. He was a major religious figure in his community serving as a Sunday school teacher and he pastored several churches throughout the south. Even though Charles couldn’t catch a fish, he enjoyed fishing, painting, golfing, photography, and most importantly spending time with his family.

He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Elaine Aldridge; sons, David Aldridge (Angela), Christopher Kirk (Billie Jean), and Tony Kirk (Crystal); daughter, Ashley Walker (Adam); brother, Chuck Aldridge (Janet); sisters, Debbie Stanfield (Homer), Vicky Phares (Harvey), Star Prather, and Melody Harrison; seventeen grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Glade Baptist Church on Monday, October 9, 2023, at 10:00 AM.
