Doris Evans Glascoe Deaton passed from this life on November 14, 2023 at the age of 93. She was born to the late Clarence and Floy Baxter Evans on February 21, 1930 in Franklin County, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her first husband Marion (Buck) Glascoe. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Charles Evans and twin brothers, Elbert and Albert; two sisters, Margie Evans and Virginia (Jim) Moore, and niece Sheila Moore. She is survived by one brother, Vernon (Jean) Evans; two daughters, Sherry (Gerry) Crosslin and Dianne (Sam) Hixson. She has three grandchildren, Holly (Loren) Morgan, Josh and Matthew (Ana) Hixson; one niece, Gina (Russ) Davis and one nephew, James Randall Moore; one great grandson Luke Ulli Hixson and one great granddaughter, Fiona Dianne Hixson.
She was also preceded in death by her second husband, James Henry Deaton; stepdaughter Carolyn (Jamie) Blanks; stepsons Jimmy and Mike Deaton. She is survived by Jack (Shelley) Deaton, Vivian (Eddie) Tips and Vicki Harley. She had several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was a longtime member of West End Baptist Church and Senior Citizens of Tullahoma where she enjoyed playing cards and other activities with her friends. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and enjoyed working outside in her flowers and garden.
Visitation with the family will be held Friday, November 17, 2023 from 12:00 till 1:00 PM at Tullahoma Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be conducted Friday, November 17, 2023 at Tullahoma Funeral Home with Bro. Dale Grosh officiating. Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
