Dorothy England Obituary

Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy Alice England, age 83, of Tullahoma will be held on Sunday, February 14, 2021 at 2:00PM at Tullahoma Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff Collet officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00PM until the time of the service at the funeral home. Mrs. England passed from this life on Monday, February 8, 2021, at her residence.

Dorothy was a devoted and loving mother.  She was very proud of her family and was excited to become a Grandma, Grams, Meam & MiMi to her 15 grandchildren and 18 Great grandchildren.  Our Mother loved holidays and family get-togethers; any chance to spend time with her family was important to her.  She was more than happy to be the central figure in the lives of her children. Anyone who knew them knew that she was a star in their eyes, and that’s all that ever mattered to her. She was also a devoted care giver to several children that loved her dearly to this day. Anyone that was fortunate enough to know her, loved her and was grateful to have her in their life. In the years before her Kidney’s started to fail, she loved to dance and could jitter bug with the best of them. She would light up a room with her dance moves. Her love for music showed even when it got to where she could only tap her finger. She also loved to be outside in her flower beds and plant anything that would attract her beloved birds, especially Cardinals.  In her younger years, she loved to roller-skate.  Even when her Demetia took hold, she always remembered & talked about her skating days to all that would listen. Her eyes would sparkle & she would light up when she talked about her 16-year-old days. Most importantly, she loved her family and her family loved her.  She was the strongest women that we know, the matriarch of our family, the one who never gives up without a fight, one we look up to with the up-most respect.  Dorothy will be remembered as a loving sister, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She will be deeply missed by all.
