Fred Alexander Hankins, Jr., age 65, of Estill Springs, Tennessee, passed away at Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee, on Thursday, June 16, 2022.
Born February 25, 1957, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, to the late Fred and Jessie Mae Hankins, Sr., Fred devoted his life to being a loving son, brother, father and grandfather. A United States Army Veteran, Fred served in the 101st Airborne Division. He was an avid fisherman, with a contagious smile, who enjoyed his radio-controlled boats, playing computer games and family gatherings, especially at Christmas time. Fred will surely be missed by his loving family and friends.
Survivors include his special loved ones, Margie Hankins and Laura Lussier; four sons, Fred “Freddie” (Christen) Hankins III, Joe (Bethany) Hankins, Daniel (Amy) Hankins and Kevin (Amber) Hankins; special “bonus” daughter, Rebecca (Noel) Oliveras; six brothers, James Hankins, Vaughn (Jody) Hankins, Robert (Dawn) Hankins, Doug (Kalene) Hankins, Tommy (Kim) Hankins and Benny (Jessica) Hankins; thirteen grandchildren, Ashlyn, Jaden, Cameron, Brayden, Bryson, Wyatt, Colton, Kymberlee, Remi, Gentry, Hunter, Fae and Olivia; and a special host nieces and nephews.
Celebration of Life Services will be announced at a later.
