Henry Duane Tomes

Henry Duane Tomes, age 58, of Tullahoma, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, August 24, 2023, at Lincoln County Medical Center in Fayetteville, Tennessee.

Henry was born on June 14, 1965, to the late David Tomes and Norma Mines.  He was currently employed with Alan Brooks as a Concrete finisher and previously employed with Donnie Fulks for twenty-five years. In his spare time, he enjoyed listening to music, especially his favorite song “I’m in love with a stripper” and drinking beer. He was a beloved father, grandfather, and friend.

He is survived by his beloved ex-wife, Maria Hill; sons, Henry Drew Tomes (Serrentity Appling) and Austin Lawrence Tomes (Kelsey Keller); daughter, Heather Tomes (Adam Stevens); brother, Michael Tomes; grandchildren, Dakota Tomes, Kyler Stevens, Sophia Stevens, Adalynn Appling, Aubree Appling, Annzlee Tomes, Kyleigh Tomes, and Kayson Tomes; special friends, Donnie Fults, Alan Brooks, Bobby and Deb.  He is preceded in death by his parents, David Tomes and Norma Mines.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 28, 2023, at Tullahoma Funeral Home at 2:00 PM with bro. Alan Brooks officiating. Internment to immediately follow in Blantons Chapel Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held on Monday, August 28, 2023, prior to the service from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM.
