James “Jim” Roland Brown, age 83, of Tullahoma, Tennessee, passed away in his sleep, on Tuesday, January 11, 2022.
Born in Gurdon, Arkansas on July 17, 1938, to the late Freddy and Joyce Brown, “Jim” was a veteran, who served in the United States Air Force. He was a long-time resident of Tullahoma, Tennessee and active member of Veterans of Foreign Affairs (VFW Post #4188). “ Jim” worked at Arnold Airforce Base (AEDC) until retirement in 1999.
Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas Brown and Ray Brown.
“Jim” left behind his significant other of twenty-eight years, Stella Sweeton; three sons, Thomas Brown of Boston, Massachusetts, Lee (Iris) Brown and Michael Brown, both of Lewes, Delaware; one daughter, Elizabeth Short of Bridgefield, Delaware; two nephews, Alvin Brown and Bruce Brown; one niece, Betty Loeb; five grandsons, Hunter Brown, Cameron Brown, Matthew Brown, Thomas Brown and Seth Brown; two great nieces Kimberly Benefield and Emily Locke; and two great nephews.
Visitation will be held at Tullahoma Funeral Home, on Wednesday, January 19, 2022, from 2-4PM.
Graveside Services, to be announced at a later date, will be conducted at Easley Cemetery in Gurdon, Arkansas with Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Homes in charge of the arrangements.
