Khyva Lynn Phipps

Khyva Lynn Phipps, age 82, of Manchester, Tennessee, passed away at her residence on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. Tasha, her granddaughter, was her special care giver during her sickness.

Khyva was born in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Dewitt and Maude Todd Akers. She retired from Carrier after 30 years. She was affiliated with Emmanuel Pentecostal Church in Manchester. The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Khyva. She loved spending time with her family, which was the light of her life. Her pleasant personality was contagious to everyone she met. Khyva enjoyed reading about history, watching western movies, and watching game shows.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Elzie Phipps; two sons, Chris Phipps and Jimmy Phipps; two brothers, Johnny Akers and Tom Akers. She is survived by her children, Cindy Davis (Ray), Carrie Winton (George), and Carol Simpson; nine grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; one great great grandchild and another one on the way; several other extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at Tullahoma Funeral Home at 2:00 PM with Pastor Yram Lopez officiating. Internment to immediately follow in Ragsdale Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held at Tullahoma Funeral Home on Friday, October 6, 2023, from 4:00 PM until 8:00PM

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the funeral home to help with funeral cost.
