Michael “Mike” James MacGregor, age 70, of Tullahoma went to be with the Lord Saturday, November 4, 2023. He was born May 9, 1953, to Peter and Mavis MacGregor in Oak Ridge, TN. The family later settled in Tullahoma & attended Faith Lutheran Church, where Mike took his confirmation classes as a teenager. His faith in the Lord remained strong throughout his life. Mike attended Tullahoma High School and served in the US Army. After his time in the Army, he returned home to Tullahoma where he worked for Wilson Sporting Goods as a machine operator. In 1979 he went to Cleveland Pneumatics, later known as Goodrich Aerospace, where he remained until his retirement. He was a proud member of the United Steelworkers of America local 6817, even serving as union president for a time.
Mike is survived by one sister, Jacquelyn MacGregor-Walters, four daughters; Angie (Jarrod) Swain, Samantha MacGregor-Moore, Michelle MacGregor (David Steverson) & Stephanie (Allen) Williams, 14 grandchildren; Drew Smart, Kelsey Smart, Jalen (Haylee) Swain, McKenzie Michael Prater, Christian Lewis-Michael Cates, Andrew Swain, Reanna Swain, Jordan Swain, Jalen Williams, Olivia Swain, Kaylie Moore, Rylie Moore, Amarah Williams & Laci MacGregor, 1 nephew, 2 nieces & 6 great grandchildren, all of whom will miss him dearly. Mike was an amazing dad, grandpa & just all around good human that never met a stranger. He loved animals, taking in every dog & cat he ever ran across that needed a home.
St. Jude was very dear to Mike’s heart. He was a loyal donor. In lieu of flowers, Michelle asks that you make a donation to St. Jude Children’s Hospital for him.
