Mildred J Morton

Mildred Jarman Morton, age 96, of Bell Buckle, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family.  

Mildred was born on January 11, 1927, to the late Henry and Jonnie Jarman. She attended Bell Buckle Church of Christ in Bell Buckle, Tennessee. In her younger years of life, she worked as a housekeeper for Bedford County Hospital. She enjoyed gardening and most importantly spending time with her family and friends. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Issac Morton; one brother, John Jarman; one sister, Mary Tilford. She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca McClanahan (Dallas); grandson, Stephen McClanahan (Julie); and great granddaughter, Audrey McClanahan.

Graveside service will be held on Friday, August 18, 2023, at 10:00 AM at Willow Mount Cemetery in Shelbyville, Tennessee with bro. Johnathan Sims officiating.
