Nellie Bell (Riddlesprigger) Henderson

Nellie Bell Henderson made her journey to heaven on Monday, July 24, 2023. Nellie "Dot" was born on December 18th, 1926 in Dardanelle, Arkansas, to the late Wallace and Elnora Riddlesprigger . Her siblings were Lawrence Perry and Mary Houston.

She married Leonard Franklin Henderson, Sr., "Nick or Nicky boy", on December 20th, 1948. They relocated from Liberty, Missouri to Pacoima, California in 1960. They were happily married for 66 years.

She worked several years at Brother Henderson’s gospel music in downtown Los Angeles. She was later employed at White’s records in the San Fernando Valley, California. While working, she was in charge of logistics and accounting. Dot thrived as an office manager at both locations.

Nellie is survived by her loving children, Vanessa Lee Niblett (John), and Leonard "Buddy" Franklin Henderson (Sherry), Jr.; grandchildren, Tesa Henderson, Jonathan Niblett (Melissa), Joseph "Joe" Niblett (Elaine), Jackieya Henderson, Lamont Henderson, Tyler Castillo and Jayden Niblett; honorary grandson, Jason "J.T" Leopold; nephews, Howell Houston, Jr. and Reginal Perry; nieces, Jeanie Strahn, Cookie Leopold, and Angela Perry; and a host of extended family and friends.

Visitation for Ms. Henderson will be held on Saturday, July 29th, from 1:00pm till 2:00pm. The funeral service will begin at 2:00pm following the visitation. Ms. Henderson is being transported back to California for interment in Pierce Brothers Valhalla Memorial Park.
