Loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, and daughter passed on to her heavenly reward July 2, 2021.
Pat loved to travel and go places. Born and raised in Orlando, Florida with her parents and 3 siblings, she grew up swimming in Florida lakes and dancing at USOs. She moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and raised her family, where her knack for numbers assured her of an accounting job wherever she went. She returned to her roots in Orlando for a time, then settled comfortably into retirement in Tullahoma Tennessee to spend her golden years with her many cousins and visiting family.
Pat enjoyed riding her bicycle and driving her scooter. She loved flowers and gardening, and was a champion bowler. She dabbled in decorating, and was always on the hunt for the next bargain. Pat was a skilled seamstress, having made many of her kids’ clothes and Halloween costumes over the years, her youngest daughter’s wedding dress, and with a talent for crochet, she made many blankets, bonnets, and booties for the babies in her life.
Pat was a lover of good music and good food. She loved a good laugh with good company, and the Good Lord. She was generous, giving of herself and her home to any and all in need.
Pat was a tough NannyBird, as her grandkids and great-grandkids called her. She beat breast cancer in 2015, though afterward never stopped fighting the illnesses and ailments that come with age and the passing of time.
Pat will be dearly missed by all, but most especially by her sisters Wanda Schaeffer and Linda Maragett, her brother John Adams and sister-in-law Philomena Adams, cousins Becky Stout Ainley and Esther Campbell, her children, Dawn (Fitzpatrick) Pizzo and son-in-law Anthony Pizzo, Brian Fitzpatrick and daughter-in-law Veera Fitzpatrick, Eileen (Fitzpatrick) Harvey and son-in-law Clint Harvey, her grandchildren, Jamie Hudyma, David Hudyma, Shianne Zabik, Melody Fitzpatrick, Amber Nicole Greene, Maisey Harvey, and Evelyn Harvey, and great-grandchildren, Raylan, Aubrey, and Natalie.
