Ruby Dee Cease

Funeral services for Mrs. Ruby Dee Cease, age 88, of Tullahoma, will be conducted at 2:00PM on Thursday, January 14, 2021, at Tullahoma Funeral Home with Bro. A.J. Alderman officiating. Family will receive friends from 12:00PM until to time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Smith’s Chapel Cemetery in Moore County.  Mrs. Cease passed from this life on Tuesday, January 12, 2021, at her residence.

Ruby was born on March 9, 1932 in Mulberry, TN to the late George Miller and Martha Lane. She loved to play cards, especially Rook. Ruby also liked to play board games. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister.

In addition to her parents, Ruby is also preceded in death by her husband, Donald P. Cease; sisters, Jane Pace and Bobbie White.  She is survived by her sons, Frank Preston (Chris) and Don Preston (Gina); daughter, Karen Wilder; three sisters, Loretta Walker, Katherine Blackburn (Billy Joe) and Peggy Noblett; grandchildren, Jody Preston (Grace), Wanda Sharp (Mark), Vickie Bearden (Toby), Jonathan Armstrong, Dusty Wilder, Travis Bryan (Tracy) and Kristie Thomas; eleven great grandchildren; former husbands, Marvin Preston and Lars Robinette and a host of nieces and nephews.
