Wendell Vincent Maddox (born June 21, 1937) has gone to his heavenly home after a long, slow and then rapid decline, leaving on May 10, 2022, at the age of 84. He was raised in Nashville, graduated from Montgomery Bell Academy, Vanderbilt University with an engineering degree, and from UTSI, Tullahoma. He left Nashville to work at AEDC, Tullahoma, where he spent forty years as an electrical engineer. Although perfectly suited for his job, his greatest efforts were always for his family, now left behind, including his wife Margaret Coakley Maddox, son Byron (Margaret), children Logan and Hannah and Ashley and Jacob; son Dennis (Angsu-apa “Mink”), daughter Audrey. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Tullahoma, where he taught an adult Sunday school class.
Visitation Sunday, May 15, Tullahoma Funeral Home, at 1 p.m. and service at 2 p.m. conducted by the Reverend Ricky Wade. Burial at Maplewood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made in Vince's name to the Henry Center at First United Methodist Church Tullahoma or Adoration Hospice.
