William Donnie Tate

Mr. William Donnie Tate, age 72, passed away Friday, July 21, 2023, at Elk River Health and Nursing Center of Ardmore, surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. William was born on Wednesday, January 17, 1951, in Chattanooga TN, the son of the late Benjaman and Opal (Lankford) Tate. William was a very loving son, brother, father and grandfather. He enjoyed many things in life. Some as simple as  playing video games and cards with his children and siblings. He loved being outside mowing his yard and gathering vegetables from his garden. His best companions in life were his 3 fur babies, who he made sure to fatten up with all the treats. He proudly served in the United States Army for two years. His life was too great to fit into just a few sentences, but everyone always felt so welcomed and loved in his presence.

Mr. William is survived by his son, David Tate (wife Amber); daughter, Desiree Tate; brothers, Jack Tate, and Frank Tate; grandchild, Grayson Tate; feline children, Sebastian “Eek-Eek” Tate, Cleveland Tate, Daisy Tate; grand kitty, Gavin Tate; grand pups, Marty Tate, Emmett Tate. In addition to his parents, Mr. William is preceded in death by his brother, Allen Tate.

As per Mr. William’s request, he will be cremated, and no services are scheduled at this time.
